Lifestyle Sessions

Lifestyle sessions are all about capturing real moments in a natural, relaxed way. Instead of stiff posing, we focus on movement, interaction, and genuine connection—whether that’s your family hanging out, kids being themselves, or couples just enjoying time together. These sessions typically take place outdoors or in a meaningful location, using natural light to create a warm, authentic feel. I’ll give light direction when needed, but the goal is to keep things easygoing so your photos reflect who you really are.

FAQ

This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?

The biggest thing to know is that you don’t need to “know how to pose” or perform for the camera—that’s my job. I’ll guide you through everything, from where to stand to what to do with your hands, and we’ll keep things moving so it never feels stiff or awkward. Plan to wear something you feel comfortable and confident in, and try to keep it simple—neutral tones and minimal patterns tend to photograph best. Show up a few minutes early, trust the process, and don’t stress about being perfect—the best photos usually come from the in-between moments when you’re just being yourself.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages?

Travel is included for sessions within my standard service area, so if we’re shooting locally there’s nothing extra to worry about. For locations outside that range, a small travel fee may apply depending on distance and time, but I’ll always be upfront about that during booking—no surprises. If you have a specific location in mind, just let me know and I can give you a clear answer.

Can you recommend any good locations?

Absolutely—there are tons of great options depending on the vibe you’re going for. I’m always happy to suggest locations, whether you want something natural, urban, or more styled. Parks and open fields offer beautiful light and a relaxed feel, while downtown areas bring texture, architecture, and a more modern edge. If you’re into something unique, we can look at coffee shops, parking garages, or even your own home for a more personal setting.

What if the weather is bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?

If the weather isn’t cooperating, don’t stress—we’ve got options. I keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session, and if conditions look rough (rain, heavy wind, extreme temps), we can reschedule at no extra cost. I’d rather wait for better light and conditions than force a shoot that won’t give you the best results. If you’re on a tighter timeline, we can also pivot to a covered or indoor location and still create something great. The goal is always to make sure you get photos you actually love, not just push through bad conditions.
